Books - an Icelandic Christmas tradition

I just spotted this article on Facebook, and decided to drop it here. I missed it when it did the rounds when it was published last year. We don't do Christmas, but I'm THAT relative who gives actual books as gifts, so I'm totally on board with this concept, and the fact that the whole country does this is just wonderful.

  1. What a civilised habit. I am giving some books this Christmas. And when I followed your link there was another link I followed to the work of Cecilia Levy who makes art works from old books that might otherwise go to waste. Did you see that? Cecilialevy.com
