And that's after a number of major move culls!

I do treasure the books she gave me, and those of hers that now form part of my collection. She always wrote inscriptions in gift books - so now I have duplicates of some volumes, particularly in my YA collection where she may have given me a paperback and in the meantime I've tracked it down in hardcover. I've kept both, so as not to lose her handwriting.

My mother didn't read Stephen King, I must say. And I've never got into them either. DB, who doesn't read much fiction does love them...

KKazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06883203750700550391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8223421075357845155.post-67325832265717391972012-06-10T15:07:24.156-07:002012-06-10T15:07:24.156-07:00Hello, Kaz! Unknowingly, my mother started me on reading, when she gave me my first ever book and when she started leaving books around the house. That's why the first author that I truly loved was Stephen King, as my mother was a huge fan.Peter S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17363239232633174946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8223421075357845155.post-80911803384718524082012-06-07T20:16:04.484-07:002012-06-07T20:16:04.484-07:00That's very true, Jack. I, too, have a collection of some of her favourite books.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10948588356904187536noreply@blogger.com
